At the UNL Panhandle Research, Extension & Education Center, we innovate and conduct research to make life better for Nebraska ag producers, rural communities, businesses, children, and families. Our 19 program specialists, extension educators and research scientists work with local stakeholders to identify and prioritize challenges facing western Nebraska. Baby chicks hatch at Scotts Bluff County Extension

The Scotts Bluff County Extension will be home to several new-born chicks that began hatching on Monday, March 27.
Stephanie Connelly, Scotts Bluff County 4-H asst, said the baby chicks are part of a much larger project done annually by the Scotts Bluff County 4-H, with 14 elementary classes hatching eggs through the month of April.
