ServSafe® Food Managers training offered in Chadron

Nebraska Extension is offering a ServSafe Food Managers Training on Tuesday, October 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chadron State College Student Union in the Ponderosa Room.

This nationally recognized certification program is ideal for food service managers, supervisors, and those in charge. The one-day course covers essential food safety topics, including:

  • Prevention of foodborne illnesses
  • Forms of contamination
  • Safe food handling practices
  • Flow of food from purchasing to service
  • Food safety management systems
  • Cleaning and sanitation procedures

The training includes the course manual, eight hours of instruction, and a proctored certification exam.

Cost is $160 per participant. Make checks payable to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and payment may be mailed to: Morrill County Extension, P.O. Box 490, Bridgeport, NE 69336.
