The Nebraska Extension and ServSafe will host food safety training for food managers on May 14, 2025, in Scottsbluff.
The training will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is a food safety training and certification course. This course is designed for restaurant owners, managers, food handlers, dietitians, and dietary managers. Those attending will learn to protect customers from food-borne illness, improve food quality, and reduce liability risks.
The course will include food microbiology, sanitary food handling and storage, personal health hygiene and housekeeping, and pest control and safety procedures.
The cost is $140 or $150 per person with a manual mailed to Scottsbluff. The course will be held at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff.
